African Safety, Health and Environment Professional Association (ASHEPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ahmed Marouf Abd El Hamed as ASHEPA Representative for North Africa.

In this volunteer leadership role, Mr. Ahmed will support ASHEPA’s mission of strengthening Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) practice across North Africa by promoting professional collaboration, supporting regional engagement, advancing workplace safety culture, and championing sustainable, climate-responsible solutions.

About Mr. Ahmed Marouf Abd El Hamed

From the oilfields of Egypt to leading QHSE programs across the Middle East and Africa, Mr. Ahmed’s career has been shaped by a clear mission: building safer, smarter, and more sustainable workplaces.

Over the years, he has translated this belief into impactful leadership, guiding teams across telecommunications, construction, and industrial sectors to embed safety culture at every level.

He is also recognized for advancing digital transformation within QHSE operations, leveraging tools such as Power BI and Power Automate to improve reporting efficiency, enhance visibility of performance indicators, and support data-driven decision-making. Beyond technical capability, he is known for mentoring teams, fostering collaboration, and promoting ethical leadership focused on people, progress, and sustainable excellence.
