ASHEPA is a pan-African professional association that brings together Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) practitioners from every corner of the continent. We exist to connect professionals, share knowledge and champion a safe, healthy, and sustainable Africa.

Working with industry, academia, governments, and development partners to build safer workplaces and healthier communities across Africa.

Who We Are

ASHEPA is a membership-based, non-profit, professional association for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) practitioners across Africa. Our members work in mining, oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, transport, energy, agriculture, healthcare, education, public sector, and many other fields.
We are inspired by successful pan-African and global professional networks that bring specialists together to advance occupational safety, health, and environment practice through standards, education and advocacy.

To strengthen safety, health and environmental practice across Africa by empowering professionals, building regional networks, and partnering with all stakeholders to reduce workplace incidents, protect the environment, and support sustainable development.

Through our several collaborative networks with other academic institutions and associations you will also have access to additional resources and information. In addition, you will regularly receive the ASHEPA Newsletter that provides current information in the field of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment in Africa.
