January 5, 2026 — African Safety, Health and Environment Professional Association (ASHEPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lumiti Trotsky as ASHEPA Country Representative for Kenya.

In this volunteer leadership role, Mr. Trotsky will support ASHEPA’s mission to strengthen Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) practice by expanding professional engagement in Kenya, promoting SHE awareness, supporting collaboration with local stakeholders, and contributing to capacity-building initiatives aligned with national priorities and international best practice.

About Lumiti Trotsky

Mr. Trotsky is an award-winning Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) professional and the AfriSafe Safety Professional of the Year (2022), recognized for exemplary contributions to improving Health, Safety, Environment, and well-being in Africa.

He is licensed by the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) as an Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit Expert, and is a member of the Environmental Institute of Kenya (EIK) and the Workplace Safety Professional Association of Kenya.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management of Agro-Ecosystems and Environment, a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, and is an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Occupational Health and Safety.

Mr. Trotsky has extensive experience in the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS management plans, systems, and processes across multiple sectors, including Oil & Gas, power, telecommunications, civil works, and construction. He is familiar with international management system standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001, and brings project management capability to drive measurable outcomes.
