African Safety, Health and Environment Professional Association (ASHEPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Pius Kimutai Milgo as ASHEPA East Africa Representative.

In this volunteer leadership role, Mr. Milgo will support ASHEPA’s mission of strengthening Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) practice across East Africa by promoting professional collaboration, supporting regional engagement, advancing workplace safety culture, and championing sustainable, climate-responsible solutions.

About Pius Kimutai Milgo

Mr. Milgo is an ingenious Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional with extensive experience in environmental management, occupational health and safety engagement, and workplace wellness advocacy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Egerton University and maintains a strong portfolio of professional credentials, including NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), NEBOSH International Diploma, NPFA II, and ISO 9001 certification, among others.

He currently serves as the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Lead for a telecommunications service provider in Kenya, where he has focused on advocating for safe workplaces, employee wellness, climate-friendly initiatives, environmentally sustainable solutions, and green energy approaches within the industry.

Mr. Milgo is a registered Environmental Impact Assessment/Environmental Audit (EIA/EA) expert with NEMA, a member of the Environmental Institute of Kenya (EIK), an Affiliate Member of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM), and an active member of the Workplace Safety Professional Association of Kenya (WSPAK).

A committed climate enthusiast, Mr. Milgo has received climate negotiation training through the African Group of Negotiators, and he continues to advocate strongly for climate action, workplace safety, employee well-being, environmental conservation, and sustainability. His guiding principle is simple and powerful: ensuring everyone works safely and arrives home safely.
