Terms and Conditions

ASHEPA is a legally registered professional association (“ASHEPA”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Our website and online services are operated and administered through our Hub Secretariat in Ghana.

By using our website or services, you agree to the terms and policies below.

Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing www.ashepa.org, creating an account, applying for membership, paying fees, registering for events, enrolling in courses, or using any ASHEPA services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the website or services.

Our Delivery Model and Cross-Border Access

ASHEPA provides membership administration, communications, learning, events, and related services primarily online, administered from our Hub Secretariat.

  • ASHEPA does not maintain a physical office, branch, or permanent establishment outside Ghana unless we explicitly announce it in writing on our official channels.
  • If you access our services from outside Ghana, you do so voluntarily and are responsible for ensuring compliance with the local laws that apply to you.
  • Nothing on this website is intended to constitute:
    • local registration in another country,
    • local licensing in another country, or
    • establishment of a local office in another country.

Volunteer Representatives (No Employment / No Agency)

ASHEPA may appoint Volunteer Country Representatives and Regional Representatives in different countries to support outreach, awareness, introductions, and referrals.

Unless ASHEPA provides specific written authorization for a particular task, volunteers:

  • are volunteers, not employees, contractors, partners, or agents of ASHEPA;
  • cannot bind ASHEPA to contracts, MOUs, sponsorships, or obligations;
  • cannot collect money or operate any payment channel for ASHEPA;
  • may only share official ASHEPA information and refer parties to the Hub Secretariat and official ASHEPA platforms.

No employment relationship: Using this website, registering as a member, volunteering, or participating in ASHEPA activities does not create an employment relationship with ASHEPA.

Membership

  • Membership applications are submitted online and may be approved or declined at ASHEPA’s discretion.
  • Membership fees are paid online to ASHEPA (see “Payments”).
  • Membership is personal and non-transferable.
  • ASHEPA may suspend or terminate membership for misconduct, misrepresentation, non-payment, or breach of these Terms.

Payments

Payments on www.ashepa.org are processed through third-party payment services (our payment processor) or other ASHEPA-approved channels displayed on the website.

You are responsible for any bank charges, currency conversion fees, and taxes that may apply in your country.

No Refunds (Refunds & Cancellations Summary)

All payments are governed by our No Refund Policy. By paying, you agree to that policy.

All payments made to ASHEPA through www.ashepa.org (including membership fees, course fees, event fees, and application fees) are non-refundable, except where refunds are required by applicable law (including any statutory cancellation or grace-period rights).

  • Event/course details may change (schedule, speakers, format, platform).
  • Certificates (where offered) are issued only by the ASHEPA Hub Secretariat under ASHEPA verification processes.
  • ASHEPA does not guarantee regulatory recognition, licensing approval, or employment outcomes.
